The series of interesting and engaging lessons aims to equip children with a solid understanding of the changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. They offer a detailed outline of life in each of these periods, in addition to the changes that took place between them. Children also learn vital skills in conducting historical investigations and interpreting texts, whilst developing their understanding of chronology. There’s a lot in the each lesson and so you may wish to either select the content that is pertinent to you/ your class or spread each lesson resource over two sessions. The resources are ideally pitched for children in lower KS2, but could feasibly be used with slightly older or younger children, depending upon the individual context of the school and students.
